Iman Hart

Iman is an associate in the Charleston office who practices general civil litigation with a focus in insurance defense. She graduated with honors from Kennesaw State University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a concentration in Legal Studies. Her academic excellence continued at the Charleston School of Law, where she graduated as a Presidential Honor’s Scholar, achieving her Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude. While in law school, Iman served as the Associate Justice of the Internal Moot Court Competition and was a member of the Phillip C. Jessup Moot Court Team. She also served as an editor of the Maritime Bulletin.

Upon graduation, Iman began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender at the Ninth Judicial Circuit’s Berkeley County Office. In this role, she managed hundreds of cases and fervently advocated for her clients’ rights. Her career trajectory then led her to practicing in Workers’ Compensation, handling numerous claims, and employing strategic litigation to achieve cost-efficient resolutions.

Outside of her professional life, Iman is an avid traveler and golfer. She enjoys spending quality time with her dog and has a passion for reading and writing poetry. In 2023, she founded the non-profit organization, Type 1 Diabetes Life, and currently serves as its Chairman. The organization aims to assist individuals living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes by raising funds for diabetic supplies, durable medical equipment, and insulin. Her authenticity and genuine passion for her work are what truly set her apart.
