Firm Overview

As a full-service law firm committed to excellence, Clawson & Staubes, LLC has been providing clients with quality legal services for more than 30 years.

Dynamic and growing, we trace our roots to 1975, when we began as a general civil practice. In 1980, our firm expanded into new practice areas resulting from social and economic changes in Charleston and the Lowcountry. We developed practice sections in probate, estate planning, corporation, products liability, admiralty, commercial and construction law.

In 1997, Clawson & Staubes became a multi-state law firm, establishing a Charlotte, North Carolina office. We now serve clients throughout North and South Carolina to meet ever greater needs including civil litigation, commercial law, bankruptcy, real estate, and business needs.

Since 1975, we’ve grown tenfold. In 2004, our firm moved into a new, state-of-the-art building in the booming community of Daniel Island, off Interstate 526 and convenient to the entire Charleston lowcounty metro area. The new headquarters brought with it a new energy for the firm.

Although the firm continues to grow and now includes more than 27 attorneys and 55 support staff, all of us at Clawson & Staubes remain grounded by the philosophy of the two founding partners, Robert G. Clawson, Jr. and Chris B. Staubes, Jr. Their belief was to provide quality legal services with a positive attitude and to find the best solution for each client by carefully analyzing all options and working together with the client towards positive outcomes.

We believe we’re successful because we deliver what our clients demand and deserve— the competent legal services delivered in a timely and efficient manner. Our approach is reflected in our client relationships. We are not simply attorneys--we are problem-solvers, and we remain committed to improving our processes and expanding our services to meet the legal demands of the communities we serve.
