Christy practices in the area of general civil litigation, with concentrations in insurance defense, insurance coverage, business litigation, and municipal law. She represents individuals, insurance carriers, businesses, and municipalities in both state and federal courts in connection with these matters.
While attending the Charleston School of Law, Christy sat on the Executive Board of the Charleston Law Review, serving as both an Articles Editor and as Symposium Editor for “Punitive Damages, Due Process, and Deterrence: The Debate after Philip Morris v. Williams.” She also received the CALI award for academic excellence in Constitutional Law. Prior to receiving her juris doctorate, cum laude, Christy worked on numerous political campaigns throughout South Carolina, where she focused on communications and media relations. Christy attended Newberry College on a basketball scholarship and now serves on the Newberry College Alumni Association Board of Managers.
Christy grew up in Walterboro, South Carolina and now resides in Mount Pleasant. She is actively involved in the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and Charleston Young Professionals. When not working, Christy enjoys live music, outdoor activities, and spending time with her dog “Bodie” in search of the perfect dog park.
