Following law school, Andy relocated to Asheville, North Carolina and began his career as a trial lawyer practicing in the defense of personal injury cases. During that time, he tried cases throughout Western North Carolina in state, federal and tribal courts. He has also appeared before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the North Carolina Court of Appeals. In 2004, Andy joined the Charlotte office of Clawson & Staubes. In 2007, he became licensed in South Carolina.
Andy is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the Mecklenburg County Bar. He is also admitted to the Bar Associations of the United States District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of North Carolina, the United States District Court for South Carolina, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Andy is a member of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys and the North Carolina Bar Association. He is approved as a continuing education instructor by the North Carolina Department of Insurance.
Andy grew up in High Point, North Carolina. He now lives in the Charlotte area with his wife and two children. He enjoys sports, camping and history.
