On May 5, 2011, Kristen Voyer and Tim Whisler will give a CLE presentation on “Protecting the Creditor’s Rights During Bankruptcy” on behalf of the National Business Institute. Their presentation will include an overview of creditor’s rights under each chapter and focus on miscellaneous creditor’s rights, such as involuntary bankruptcy, examination of debtor’s affairs, Rule 2004 exams, municipal collection issues, and recovery of property for the benefit of creditors.
Kristen and Tim practice with the firm’s commercial law and bankruptcy team, focusing on the area of creditors’ rights with an emphasis on debt collection and judgment enforcement. They represent creditors, lenders, financial institutions, and the like throughout South Carolina in connection with these matters.

Clawson & Staubes, LLC member Chris Nickels will serve as a guest judge for the Charleston School of Law’s trial advocacy class. Chris will utilize his many years of trial experience in serving as judge and providing feedback to the class. Chris practices with Clawson & Staubes’ civil litigation group in Charleston. His practice focuses on insurance defense, personal injury, and premises liability. He represents individuals, insurance companies, and businesses in all South Carolina state and federal courts with respect to these matters.
