Chris Staubes Named to Board of Directors of the Coastal Carolina Council of the Boy Scouts of America

Clawson & Staubes Member Chris Staubes was recently named to the Board of Directors of the Coastal Carolina Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The Coastal Carolina Council is just one of 304 Boy Scout Councils in America. It serves over 11,000 youth and adult members in a nine county area.

Chris heads up the Corporate Law and Business Litigation sections at Clawson & Staubes.  Within his areas of practice, Chris assists corporations and other business entities with their legal and regulatory needs.  He has extensive experience assisting clients with mergers and acquisitions, corporate start-ups, franchise rights, corporate dissolutions, commercial litigation, and general corporate matters.  Chris also practices in the areas of securities litigation, real estate, and banking law.

Sam Clawson Gives CLE to NY Bar on “Direct & Cross Examination of Experts”

On December 5, 2010, Sam Clawson spoke at The Bridge the Gap CLE in New York on the topic of “Direct and Cross Examination of Experts.” Sam frequently lectures on various topics, such as summary jury trials, opening and closing statments, direct and cross examination of lay witnesses and experts, and trial tactics.

Sam has served as the Managing Member of Clawson & Staubes for 27 years and practices in the areas of personal injury litigation and insurance.

Barrett Brewer Selected as Finalist for S.C. Lawyers Weekly’s Emerging Legal Leaders Honors

Barrett practices with the firm’s civil litigation group in Charleston.  His concentrations are in business law, contract law, real estate law, insurance, and personal injury.  Barrett represents individuals, businesses, banks, lenders, and insurance companies in all South Carolina state and federal courts with respect to these matters.
